whoever is here reading this,
you need to remember and remind yourself today and right now:
You are important.
You have endless opportunities.
You are more than enough.
You have got this.
If you are without inspiration: close your eyes, look inward.
If you have not danced or sang out loud recently, play some music, LOUDLY.
Pick up a pen and paper and DRAW, just doodle! Write! CREATE.
There is meditation and release in the practice of FREE WRITING.
Literally. There is no expectation, pick up a pen and just allow your hand to move. It’s that simple. You will be surprised how much your mind releases from openly letting out these thoughts. How uncomfortable does this make you? Sometimes when i do this exercise it looks like this:“nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing SOMETHING HUGE doodle doodle doodles nothing nothing nothing”
and that is amazing! Let that happen!
Call upon your highest self. Dance, LISTEN, Sing, Let go of expectation and just be. You will be surprised where inspiration can come from.
I have bad nights and days and weeks. Luckily it only takes meditation and a few Paulo Coelho books to aid in my inner fire rising recently, mainly because i have been in nature so much lately, and i know this really helps me. For some of us its weeks, months or years of hardship after hardship. The best advice i can give at this time is to be open, stay open, receive openly, give openly, let go openly, cry openly, LOVE openly. Positivity is an invitation. Too many of us forget that we can turn any situation into something of a higher vibration than it may first appear.
Just a week ago, this beautiful butterfly danced around my Grandma’s flowers for me to admire…
This was right before my Mom and brother left the Kootenay’s to head home. I won’t see Neil until Christmas, as he goes off to school in September, and I love having my mom and family up here in Nelson with me. I’ve never stayed in the Kootenay’s this long alone before, I am always staying with my family while vacationing. So I knew that having them leave that day meant distance, discomfort, the unknown, and loneliness…
Researching the symbolism of Butterflies I found this…
“What a massive amount of transition this tiny creature undergoes. Consider for a moment the kind of energy this expends. I daresay if a human were to go through this kind of change we’d freak out!
Herein lies the deepest symbolic lesson of the butterfly. She asks us to accept the changes in our lives as casually as she does. The butterfly unquestioningly embraces the chances of her environment and her body.
This unwavering acceptance of her metamorphosis is also symbolic of faith. Here the butterfly beckons us to keep our faith as we undergo transitions in our lives. She understands that our toiling, fretting and anger are useless against the turning tides of nature – she asks us to recognize the same.”
